It is hard not to flood the page for the Water's Edge with so much beautiful pictures of their operation. Whether it is the beautiful flowering lotuses or the green that fills the small corner or even the various live animals you will promise that you have found a bit of Eden. Although not located on Mass the Water's Edge is close enough to the Downtown and being along 9th helps to give the public wonderful access to the shop. And as a result there are two ways of entering either through the front part of the shop or front gate leading straight to the garden center or through the back gate itself but with either way you will be pleasantly surprised if you hadn't been here. Both in the shop and in the gardening section the buyer and/or seeker will find so many beautiful pieces of work and plants to entertain the eye so much so that it can be hard to figure out where to exactly start. There are bright Southwestern-colored lizards, the medieval statuary, the welcoming Maneki Neko and the seemingly other Japanese artwork all tucked between the various water gardens. Various colored lotuses grow in the various watery plots with pads that are heart-shaped, club-shaped or so humongous that you feel if it was strong enough you wouldn't have any problems sitting on it. There are various sized koi and goldfish swimming around the stems or out from under and the occasional visiting frog or turtle. If you are into gardening, needing a nature-based escape of an hour or a couple of hours and/or just looking to add a fountain than this is the right shop for you. Workshops are provided to those who want to take up this beautiful gardening while the staff are also polite in answering questions thus in the end you won't be disappointed.
